RR, as it stands today, was born out of a life long dream of it's founder, Joe Capo. Who acquired the property in 2001. The grounds have always been a farm of one type or another, for as long as history records. The home on the property, is at least 175 years old. However, it's present use as a recreation and educational facility, started with it's present owner, who along with the staff, collectively bring over 100 years of equine experience to the farm. They, along with the help of Annie, Skippy, Lino, Goldie, Lolipop, Baby, Sunny, Jesse and the rest of the livestock, bring hours of fun, entertainment and learning to all the visitors and equine enthusiasts that come here. The Riding programs start with the Pee Wee group program, up to adult private lessons. All beginner riders start on the ground, learning about horses from the hoofs up. We teach our students how horses "think" and why they "do what horses do" before we teach how to sit a horse. By using this method we believe our students will not only know how to ride, but know how to communicate with a horse, and stay safe in their presence.
